Indian Wedding Baraat is a celebration of Groom's procession that involves Indian Groom, his friends and his family come to Bride's house with dancing and lots of music. Indian Groom arrives on Horse, Luxury car, exotic car, Elephant or even riding on Helicopter or riding a Boat. Groomsmen - bridal party joins Groom to mark his grand entrance. Once they arrive at the entrance of Bride's house or Indian Wedding Venue, bride's family welcomes Groom's family with flowers and feeding them sweets. Indian Bride comes to greet Groom with beautiful Garland called as Varmala at the door and puts on Groom. Indian Wedding Baraat is full of fun that involves bride side and groom side to kick-start the wedding ceremony.
Indian Wedding ceremony starts with welcoming of the Groom and his family into big and beautiful wedding venue hall. Groom is treated with worshipping him as Lord Vishnu by washing his feet by bride's parents. After that Mangalashtak are performed and then Bride arrives. Bride enters along with her Mama (maternal uncle). Bride gets worshipped as Goddess Lakshmi by performing washing her feet. Antarpat is then removed so that Indian Bride & Indian Groom can see each other for the first time. Garland exchange happens after Antarpat and then HastMelap Ceremony performance. After HastMelap, bride and groom sits next to each other to perform rituals to worship Lord Agni (Fire). After Puja, Bride & Groom are prepared to do Four Feras (Four Circles around the fire) guided by Bride's four brothers. Once Fera ceremony is done, then Groom performs Sindoor Daan on Bride's forehead followed by Mangalsutra tying a necklace around Bride's neck symbolising bride and groom are now officially married and declared as Husband and Wife. After this they both feed each other kansaar (sweet dish) and ring ceremony and then finally Vidai ceremony takes place. This concludes indian wedding ceremony in a nutshell.
